Ubuntu 10.10 Workshop at UCL

A workshop introducing Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat to a wide range of students, graduates and everyone else.

The workshop will run sessions to demonstrate how to get productive with Ubuntu and have an enjoyable and rewarding experience.

Sessions will include - getting started with Ubuntu - overview of common software - graphical applications - development environments and tools - multimedia

The event is being held at the University College London, Drayton Building - B04

Once on the University campus, there will be signs directing you to the room.

Please feel free to bring your laptop and / or a 2Gb or greater USB memory stick with you if you wish to try out Ubuntu for yourself*.

  • You can run Ubuntu without installing it to your laptop / PC if you have a USB memory stick. If your laptop / PC has a CD or DVD burner and you bring some blank disks you can run Ubuntu from CD / DVD instead but it will be a little slower.
