Organizing Team: Ubuntu-Michigan
Meeting Channel: #ubuntu-us-mi

Meeting Logs: http://irclogs.ubuntu.com/2011/07/06/%23ubuntu-us-mi.html#t00:00
  • Decommission the Google CalendarCraig Maloney @ Tue, 30 Aug. 2011 19:36 UTC

    (Hold-over from last meeting).

It appears the Ubuntu Loco Team Directory calendar is working properly. Would like to discuss changing over from Google Calendar to the Loco Team Directory calendar.

Also need to discuss the scope of the calendar. Presently there are non-loco events in the calendar (MUG, MDLUG, etc) that while interesting to Loco members, are not directly sponsored by the loco. We will need to decide where to house these events if they aren't stored in the loco calendar.

It also appears that the Loco Directory has fixed one of the big quibbles, which are time-zones causing all sorts of hell with programs like Evolution.

  • Ubuntu Global Jam (September)Craig Maloney @ Tue, 30 Aug. 2011 19:36 UTC

    Hi everyone:

We've picked dates for the Ubuntu Global Jam for this cycle, 2-4 September 2011. Here's the details:

    http://loco.ubuntu.com/events/global/1011/detail/ https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuGlobalJam

This give us a full 6 weeks to prepare for events. As always, anyone is encouraged to run prep sessions prior to the event in order to make them fun and inclusive. Woo!
